DIY Cloud Dough – Toddler Activity

posted in: kids activities, the nest/diy | 2

Levi turned 15 months old this month and has been so excited to try out new sensory activities. He’s all about splashing, squishing, throwing, making noise…you get the picture! I must admit, I’m finding this stage in his life super fun and I really can’t put into words all the feels that go on when you watch your child learn.

One of our favorite activities by far has been cloud dough. It provides lots of squishing, patting and, as Zach calls it, “DESTROY”-ing. (He yells DESTROY!!! and Levi responds by flapping his arms/hands very enthusiastically at whatever is in front of him haha).

Made from just flour and coconut oil, it’s taste friendly, so you don’t have to worry if some of it makes its way into your little ones mouth.

Tip for keeping this as clean-up “friendly” as possible:

  • Put a sheet underneath the high chair or down where you will be playing

  1. He has the cutest face and those cheeks . I’ll be trying cloud dough with my little this weekend.

    • Aw Thank you! 😉 You’ll have to let me know how you like it! You can make it with baby oil too but that one isn’t taste-friendly!
